How is coaching different from therapy? 

Coaching and therapy serve different purposes but can be complementary. Therapy often focuses on understanding and healing past experiences, addressing psychological issues, and resolving emotional trauma. It’s typically geared towards helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve a sense of well-being.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more forward-looking. It’s about setting and achieving life goals, enhancing personal growth, and improving mental fitness. In coaching, we work together to identify your aspirations, develop actionable plans, and build the skills needed to create a fulfilling and balanced life. Coaching helps you move from where you are to where you want to be. 

What will the first session look like? 

In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and understand your unique situation. We’ll meet, answer any initial questions you have, and gather important information about you and/or your current relationship dynamics and goals. I’ll also conduct an assessment to determine how I can best support you. This session is all about setting the stage for our work together and ensuring that we’re a good fit for achieving your life and/or relationship goals.
